The Department Standard Specifications, Section , states that the minimum required number of samples and tests will be as set out in the Frequency Manual. This edition of the Frequency Manual was prepared to make the frequency of sampling and testing conform to the requirements of the 23 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Subpart B.

The series was completed on 18 March with the publication of BS EN Manufactured stone masonry units. It condemned BS Reconstructed stone masonry units to oblivion in Septemberbut failed to recognize the existence of BS Specification for cast stone as a conflicting national standard.

3 Definitions For the purposes of this part of BS the following definitions apply. The Standard Specification is published in a series of 21 stand-alone modules each addressing single distinct areas of the construction process.
